Sadly,Outdated "Adaptive Tricycles" Technologies (Re:WIC 4354-4731 class) children in general via a large variety manufacturures,non profits, and U.S.State and federal funding of quasi adapted tricycles and process Re: Department of Developmental Service Contracts, CCS and ACRC in California,and in the USA.
Many administrations and DDS ACRC OAH Departments of Developmental Disability contracting funding agencies have,continue and will always(unless brought to justice) shun any idea otherwise, refused or pretended not to underestand otherwise, and that the unbalanced device and quasi adapted process is not -"outdated" and not -ineffective and or "hard to measure" the "therapeutic benefit" in every way and defend their actions by insisting that the children are "falling off of or from the device", rather than report in fact the child is strapped to the device, so the device is tipping over on top of the child during quasi adapted, marketed as independent mode of therapeutic cycle.
Many of the children are not wearing a helmet as part of the senseless process, as we were able to understand through several reports which the FDA has reported beginning investigating at this time. Children are becoming seriously brain)injured. Strapped in at the feet to such a crudely constructed device(Surname “the death Tricycle” in Africa for similar adverse effects nearly a decade past. )
"tippy" design charictaristics are well documented and known by manufacturers, vendors- providers and administrative funding agencies. Jointly understand the complexities with the device tipping over during independent mode of cycle .
many have even tried to limit the steering by way of spring type device, but this normally only works for a short period, as most children will begin to peddle more aggressivly after the sale(real world setting) and further leading to the adverse risks involved with independent forms of quasi adaptive cycling.
Prior DME/Medical/"hard to measure"therapeutic art, Adaptive Tricycles are discoverd outdated and ineffective for independent "recreational" "mobility" use outside of a limited safe,(non measuring) parent or caretaker assisted usages.
